PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. Kyle Wilber Jersey . -- Russell Henley made good on his second chance at the 18th hole Sunday and won the Honda Classic after a wild day that began with Tiger Woods walking off the course with a back injury and ended with a four-man playoff. The closing hour at PGA National was a series of blunders by the contenders -- and even the winner. Henley was in a three-way tie for the lead, 40 yards left of the flag on the par-5 18th in regulation, when he chunked a chip so badly that it only got halfway to the hole. He had to two-putt for par, and then watched as Rory McIlroy nearly made a great escape from an otherwise bad afternoon. McIlroy, who lost a two-shot lead, hit a 5-wood from 236 yards to just inside 12 feet for an eagle and the win. It narrowly slid by on the right. In the playoff, Henley was the only player to reach the 549-yard hole in two, and he two-putted from about 40 feet for birdie. Ryan Palmer missed a 10-foot birdie putt. McIlroy went from the back bunker to the front collar and had to scramble for par, and Russell Knox laid up and missed a 20-foot birdie attempt. "This isnt going to sink in for a while," Henley said. Thousands of fans who spent hours in the warmth and wind of south Florida surely felt the same way. David Hearn (67) of Brantford, Ont., finished 6-under par to tie with American Will MacKenzie for sixth. Woods abruptly quit after 13 holes and was driven straight to his car. He later said he had lower back pain and spasms, and was unsure if he could play at Doral next week. And then came all the mistakes by four guys trying to win. Palmer missed a 5-foot par in regulation that would have won it. He closed with a 69, the only player in the last six groups to break par. Knox needed a birdie on the last hole, but he went from the fairway bunker to the rough, well over the green and then calmly made a par putt just inside 10 feet for a 71 to get in the playoff. They all finished at 8-under 272. Canadas David Hearn fired a final round 67 to finish two shots off the pace. The conditions were tough. The play was so underwhelming that McIlroy said that if he had won, "It would have felt undeserved in a way." He wont know that feeling. Instead, the 24-year-old from Northern Ireland closed with a 74. It was his second straight tournament in stroke play that he played in the final group and shot 74. He tied for ninth in the Dubai Desert Classic. His undoing came on the 16th, when McIlroy missed on a 6-iron from the bunker and went into the water, making double bogey. He fell out of the lead for the first time with a bogey from the bunker on the 17th. What should ease the pain was his finish -- a 5-wood he couldnt afford to miss that dropped from the sky to 12 feet left of the hole. "I was fortunate I was in the playoff," McIlroy said. "Seventy-four wasnt good enough to get the job done. To go out with a two-shot lead, you have to play well enough to win the thing. If I had won today, I would have counted myself as lucky. Ill pick myself up, get back it, try to get back at it at Doral and try to get the job done." Henley, who closed with a 72, won for the second time and qualified for the Masters. He also moves into the top 50 in the world ranking, making him eligible for the Cadillac Championship next week at Doral. It was the first playoff at PGA National since 2007, which also featured four players. McIlroy was at 13 under after a birdie on the fifth hole and appeared to be on his way, even after twice making bogey from the bunker to close out the front nine. PGA National was tougher than ever after a weekend of sunshine, and the stiff breeze in south Florida. The average score was 71.8, two shots harder than the third round. The contenders made it look like a beast. Henley tied for the lead by chipping in for birdie on the 14th, only to deposit his tee shot on the par-3 15th into the water for double bogey. Palmer missed a 6-foot birdie putt on the 14th hole, which wasnt nearly as damaging as the par putts he missed from 8 feet on the 16th and 5 feet on the 18th. Knox fell out of a brief share of the lead when he tried to play from the right rough on the 14th and had his shot carom into the water for a double bogey. At least they were still around. Woods was just a guy in a red shirt at PGA National when he shook hands with Luke Guthrie, his playing partner, and told him he was done. "Too early to tell," Woods said in a statement about playing next week at Doral. "Ill get treatment every day to try to calm it down. Just dont know yet. Wait until Thursday and see how it feels." It was the second straight year that the worlds No. 1 player walked out on the Honda Classic. A year ago, McIlroy was so frustrated with his game that he quit after 26 holes. At least this time, McIlroy stayed until the wild end. It just wasnt the finish he wanted. Jordy Nelson Raiders Jersey . The Canucks figured to be active prior to Wednesdays trade deadline, getting a jump on things the previous day when they dealt goaltender Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers for netminder Jacob Markstrom and forward Shawn Matthias. Gareon Conley Jersey . "Its not done, but its a huge step," Hannover general manager Dirk Dufner said. Poor defending allowed the visitors to score in the second minute, when Leon Andreasens header from Christian Panders cross sent the ball inside the far post. http://www.officialauthenticraidersstore.com/authentic-rashaan-melvin-jersey.html . Rajon Rondo had 18 of Bostons season-high 38 assists and the Celtics committed just seven turnovers in a 118-111 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night.LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The best fighter in mixed martial arts is about to get better.Fresh from dispatching former Olympic wrestler Daniel (DC) Cormier via unanimous decision at UFC 182, light-heavyweight Jon (Bones) Jones said living year-round in his training base of Albuquerque, N.M., will take him to the next level.Previously, the 27-year-old would return home to Ithaca, N.Y, after a fight, hang out with his friends, play video games, develop a big gut and be a full-time dad. Training was put on hold until the next challenger came along.Thats about to change. Now that I live in Albuquerque, its going to be huge. This next fight is going to be something else, Jones said Saturday night. Im going to get right back to strength and conditioning. Im going to actually start working towards a black belt in jiu-jitsu and I get to work at things.Im so excited for this development and for this maturity that Im getting ready to start going through — training in the off-season. Expect whoever I fight next to have their hands full ... 2015 will be my best year. That declaration should send chills through every light-heavyweight and more than a few elite heavyweights. Jones (21-1) is close to cleaning out the 205-pound division as it stands now.Next up will be either No. 1 contender Alexander (The Mauler) Gustafsson or No. 3 Anthony (Rumble) Johnson, who meet Jan. 24 in Stockholm.Jones has already beaten Gustafsson, at UFC 165 in Toronto in September 2013. The two were due to meet again in 2014 but the Swede was injured, opening the door to No. 2 Cormier. There are few name fighters left in the top 15 of the 205-pound division, leading to thoughts that the six-foot-four Jones might try his hand at heavyweight.I would fight (heavyweight champion) Cain Velasquez in a heartbeat, he said, referring to Cormiers teammate at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose.Fighting a heavyweight would be surely to entertain the fans. It would have to be against a perfect opponent, he added.Sounding less than convinced when asked about Jones future challenges at 205 pounds, UFC president Dana White said new opponents always pop up.Now the discussion starts on where Jones first in the UFCs all-time pantheon, with former middleweight champion Anderson Silva and ex-welterweight title-holder Georges St-Pierre generally considered as the top two.Its just so hard for me because Jon Jones is so young and has so many more things to accomplish but hes beat the Whos Who, hes cleaned out the division, hes breaking records, said White. And if this continues, yeah, (hes) probably the greatest ever.Jones spoke all week of his respect for Silva and GSP. But after the fight, he made a case for himself, saying all he has to do is to stay focused and keep working to become the greatest ever. With all due respect, I believe that Ive had the toughest resume in the history of this sport. Ive fought so many amazing athletes. So many times people thought I was going to lose.Jones legacy is already part of the UFC record book. His eight successful title defences are the most in light-heavyweight division and third best in all weight classes behind Silva (10) and St-Pierre (nine). He has the most wins (15) at 205 pounds and has ruled the division (1,387 days as of Sunday) longer than anyone else.Plus his 12-fight win streak is the longest active run in the organization.Perhaps most impressive is the list of fighters Jones has beaten along the way, including former champions Mauricio (Shogun) Rua, Quinton (Rampage) Jackson, Lyoto (The Dragon) Machida, Rashad Evans and Vitor (The Phenom) Belfort. He also beat Chael Sonnen, who fought for the title in two weight classes. Brandon Parker Raiders Jersey. And Jones, whose weapons are diverse given his height and 82-inch wingspan, has beaten them different ways. He can win a dog-fight or chop you down from distance in a technical matchup. And when he gets opponents to the ground, he has sent them to hospital.Hes a young stud, thats for damn sure, said lightweight Donald (Cowboy) Cerrone, who trains with Jones. On Saturday night, Jones outwrestled the Olympic wrestler by three takedowns to one and beat Cormier in the clinch. Cormier (15-1) had stuffed all takedown attempts in his previous four UFC fights. Were the King of the grind, Jones said later, using the slogan Cormier wore on his T-shirt all weekJones, a former junior college wrestling champion who gave up an NCAA scholarship to Iowa when he became a father, admitted he had a chip on his shoulder with the wrestling community throwing its support behind Cormier. While he continues to win in the cage, the champion seems to have become comfortable in his own skin outside it. Despite his exploits, fans are mixed when it comes to Jones who in the past seems to have had trouble telling his story — which combines his Christian faith with a definite edge. Now he is willing to be himself, unconcerned if it means playing the villain at times. Jones now carries himself with a definite swagger, which he has backed up time and again in the cage. Fighting tough scary dudes is what I do, he said. A lot of people said Jon, you seem more calm and relaxed and just having fun more than ever. Ive accepted my job, I accept that its not going to be easy. But I know that I have the cardio to last. And as long as I dont get knocked out, Im going to be there in your face, no matter what you do to me, fighting you back for 25 minutes. So its almost like accepting death. Once youre not afraid of death any more, you can have just kind of have fun and do your thing. Thats where Im at in MMA.Jones was relaxed enough before Saturdays fight to greet fans and sign autographs in the arena. He said later that he had been feeling cold and a little flat, so he wanted to feed off their energy. He is also comfortable engaging with opponents outside the cage. The bad blood between Jones and Cormier, dating back to their first meeting, has been palpable for months. While Jones initiated touching gloves before the fight and before the fifth round and said later he respected Cormier as an athlete, he did not back off his criticism of his opponent afterwards.I dont like him. I still dont respect him. Im glad he got what he got. Hopefully it will shut him up.The 35-year-old Cormier, who wiped tears away in the post-fight news conference, was classy in defeat. The five-foot-11 fighter was giving away five inches in height and 12 in reach but came right at Jones. One of the best first rounds Ive ever seen in a title fight, said White. While Cormier did well in the first three rounds, Jones proved to be just as prickly in the clinch and eventually took control of the fight. Two of the judges gave Cormier the second round while one gave him the third as the fight was scored 49-46 for Jones.Cormier spoke of Jones championship mentality, his ability to counter-punch while backing away and the fact that he seemed even bigger in the cage out of it, with that size wearing him down.I pushed him and I went after him and I fought him and he did a great job, he said.According to FightMetric, Jones won the significant strikes battle 92-58. Cormier had outstruck his four previous UFC opponents.Follow @NeilMDavidson on Twitter Cheap Celtics Jerseys Wholesale Nets Jerseys Cheap Knicks Jerseys Cheap Stitched 76ers Jerseys Raptors Jerseys China Cheap Bulls Jerseys Wholesale Cavaliers Jerseys Pistons Jerseys China Pacers Jerseys China Cheap Bucks Jerseys Online Wholesale Hawks Jerseys Cheap Hornets Jerseys Wholesale Heat Jerseys Cheap Magic Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Wizards Jerseys Nuggets Jerseys China Timberwolves Jerseys China Cheap Thunder Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Blazers Jerseys Wholesale Jazz Jerseys Cheap Warriors Jerseys For Sale Cheap Clippers Jerseys Lakers Jerseys China Wholesale Suns Jerseys Cheap Kings Jerseys Authentic Cheap Mavericks Jerseys Rockets Jerseys China Cheap Grizzlies Jerseys Wholesale Pelicans Jerseys Spurs Jerseys China ' ' '
