Sam Reinhart Jersey . - Sacramento Kings centre DeMarcus Cousins has been released from the hospital after receiving treatment for a viral infection that will keep him sidelined through the weekend.The team said Wednesday that Cousins will not be in uniform when Sacramento hosts Indiana on Friday and Orlando on Saturday. He has missed the last three games with the illness.The Kings said Cousins is improving daily and could rejoin the team next week.The team said Cousins underwent another evaluation Tuesday evening before being admitted to the hospital. Cousins posted a photo Wednesday on Twitter from his hospital bed and wrote that he had been released. He also thanked the public for their messages and prayers of support.Cousins is averaging career highs of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. Diaw turned out to be the best option, particularly with centre Tiago Splitter sitting out with a calf contusion. That helped slow Jefferson and the Bobcats. Jefferson was limited to four points the rest of the half with the Bobcats missing 22 of their last 31 shots before the break. "He keeps (Jefferson) in front of him better," Popovich said of Diaw. "And he stays down on Als pump fakes, which are maybe the best in the league. Theyre ridiculous." Charlotte is clinging to the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and aiming for its first playoff berth since 2010.
