The team sent pitcher Mike Bolsinger to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations. The right-hander posted a 1-6 record with a 5.50 earned run average in 10 games, nine starts for the Diamondbacks in 2014. The 26-year-old made his major league debut in 2014 after being drafted in the 15th round of the 2010 MLB draft by the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks then reportedly also dealt pitcher Charles Brewer to the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations according to Corey Brock of MLB.com, though that deal has not been confirmed by the team. Brewer has not made an MLB appearance since 2013, where he pitched in four games and posted a 3.00 ERA in six innings of work. Both players had been designated for assignment on Thursday. Sandoval Closing In John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that the San Diego Padres have the highest offer on the table for Pablo Sandoval but the switch-hitting third baseman is leaning towards joining the Boston Red Sox. His report also states that San Francisco Giants assistant GM Bobby Evans spoke to Sandovals agent and the free-agent could make his decision before Thanksgiving. The Red Sox, Padres and Giants are considered to be the three front runners to win the services of Sandoval. Twins Win Bidding War According to Mike Berardino of Pioneer Press is reporting that the Minnesota Twins have won the bidding war for Korean left-hander Hyeon-jong Yang and are closing in on a deal with the 26-year-old. Yang captured the first Choi Dong-won Award in 2014, which is the Korean equivalent of the Cy Young Award, after posting a 16-8 record with a 4.25 ERA in 29 starts.
