Kidd-Gilchrist Antworten

It certainly hasnt been a December to remember for the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. These provincial rivals have been the Western Conferences worst teams this month heading into Saturday nights matchup in Calgary in this seasons second Battle of Alberta. Edmonton (7-21-7) has produced a league-worst five points this month, with Calgary totaling two more to match Carolinas 3-7-1 record in December as second-worst. The Oilers are enduring an 0-6-2 slide that isnt even as bad as their 0-7-4 winless run Nov. 11-Dec. 3. They have one victory in their last 20 games, and the leagues worst team was eager for a three-day break between games over the holidays. This season, I couldnt imagine a worse start to a year than we have, winger Taylor Hall said. But it will be a new year and I think this break will do nothing but good for our team. Calgary (18-15-3) would be mired with the same number of December points as its rivals to the north if not for Mondays 4-3 overtime win at Los Angeles that ended a 0-7-1 slide. The Flames seemed headed for another listless defeat as they trailed by three goals before rallying as rookie Johnny Gaudreau scored twice in the final 2:12 of regulation before Mark Giordanos winning goal. Giordano increased his team-high point total to 34 to lead all NHL defensemen. Nothing impresses me anymore about Mark Giordano, coach Bob Hartley said. Its consistency, all the time, (he) always shows up. The coach said that the Flames are using Mondays effort as the start of a new season, with this contest beginning a six-game homestand. Were back in front of our fans against the Oilers, game two of our seven-game segment and thats how we prepare, Hartley said. Theres no sense dwelling on the losses. The Flames seek to avoid extending their home slide to four - their longest since losing seven in a row Dec. 27, 2013-Jan. 16, 2014. Being at home may not be good since the visiting team has taken the last eight meetings in this series. The Flames won 5-2 at Edmonton on Oct. 9 behind a hat trick from Mason Raymond, who has two goals in 16 games since. The Oilers visit Calgary twice in the next five days after another dismal performance in Tuesdays 5-1 defeat to similarly lowly Arizona. Ben Scrivens allowed two goals on three shots in the first 5 minutes before he was pulled for Viktor Fasth. We obviously took a step back tonight, interim coach Todd Nelson said. It wasnt the game that we wanted. I thought that our execution was pretty poor. Nelson is 0-2-2 since replacing the fired Dallas Eakins on Dec. 15. Edmonton owns the NHLs fifth-worst attack with 2.14 goals per game and the leagues worst defense, yielding an average of 3.40 goals. The Oilers are last in the league on the power play on the road at 5.3 percent, coming up empty in 21 straight chances. Edmonton enters on a 0-5-4 road slide - its worst since going 0-8-2 from March 2-April 3, 2010. CAVALIERS: At 19-20, theyre a mess. Watched the game Tuesday night vs. Phoenix and their defence was poor (107 points and 52 per cent for Suns). Where is the high level play from Kyrie Irving and LeBron James (13 turnovers!)? Kevin Love looks like a man thats wondering what he got himself into. Nike Air Max Flair Nz . The Blue Jays lost to the New York Yankees 3-1 Tuesday night, their seventh defeat in 10 games. Rasmus was put on the 15-day DL on May 15 because of a sore right hamstring. Fabio Fognini pulled off a surprise 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over two-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray to level the best-of-five quarterfinal at 2-2 before Andreas Seppi defeated James Ward 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in the decisive match. CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Hornets are going all out to sign restricted free agent Gordon Hayward. The Hornets have agreed on a maximum offer sheet with Hayward that would pay the small forward $63 million over the next four years, a person close to with the situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The Utah Jazz would have three days to match the deal once Hayward officially signs. The person commented to the AP on condition of anonymity because Hayward cant officially sign the offer sheet until Thursday when the league lifts its moratorium on signing free agents. The Charlotte Observer was the first to report the news. Williams spent the last two seasons with Utah after six years with the Atlanta Hawks. He started 50 games last season for the Jazz and averaged 9.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. The person also said the Hornets have spoken to representatives for free agents Marvin Williams and Brian Roberts and will meet with them later this week. Williams would give the Hornets another option at forward and Roberts would fill the backup point guard spot behind Kemba Walker. Its unclear at this point if the Jazz would match the offer to keep Hayward or consider a sign-and-trade with Charlotte. Hayward, who visited with the Hornets this week, averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.4 steals last season for Utah. Hayward has spent all four seasons in the NBA with the Jazz. He shot 41.3 per cent from the field and 30 per cent from 3--point range in 77 starts.dddddddddddd Haywards offensive production has increased with each season in the league, going from 5.4 points per game as a rookie to 11.8 in 2011 and 14.1 in 2012. If the Hornets are able to land Hayward, its unclear what that might mean for small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or shooting guard Gerald Henderson. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound Hayward is capable of playing both positions. Kidd-Gilchrist, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft, is considered a strong defender but trying to revamp a hitch in his jump shot. Henderson hasnt emerged as a dominant shooter as the team hoped when they signed him to a three-year, $18 million contract extension last year. The Hornets are high on small forward Jeff Taylor, their second-round pick in 2012, who is coming off a torn Achilles tendon. Hayward played his first three seasons in the league with centre Al Jefferson, who became the focal point of Charlottes offence last year and earned third-team All-NBA honours. After a slow start in free agency, the Hornets are picking up the pace. The 6-foot-9, 237-pound Williams, the No. 2 pick in the 2005 draft, played at North Carolina where he helped the Tar Heels win a national championship as a freshman and could be a backup option if they dont land Hayward. Roberts has spent the past two seasons with New Orleans. He started 42 games last season averaging 9.4 points and 3.3 assists while shooting 94 per cent from the free-throw line. ' ' '
